8K a year BASIC FUNCTION:
Provides oversight or direct responsibility for managing operational aspects of the Health Information Management (HIM) & Patient Financial Services (PFS) departments to include Release of Information; Coding; Transcription; Chart Completion; Charge Description Master (CDM); Billing; Payment Posting; Collections Financial Assistance; and Discounts.
Manages staff and systems in defined areas to achieve appropriate staffing, resource utilization and cost containment objectives of the organization.
Provides HIM& PFS staff with the leadership, management direction, mentoring and support to ensure daily operational goals are met while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Works collaboratively with Compliance and Risk Management, serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer to investigate HIPAA complaints related to release of protected health information.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures applicable to scope of services supervised.

Qualifications:
Education:
2 year/Associates Degree
Experience:
Minimum
Experience:
3-5 years HIM department director or relevant management experience preferred.
Previous 1-3 years oversight CDM and billing preferred.
HIPAA privacy Official experience preferred.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
RHIT/RHIA Preferred .
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
